DJ Profiles:
The Farmacist
An absolute giant of a man, Big Al Williams, puts the fear into the hearts of mere mortals as he towers above the turntables like a giant lump of heavy funk. He was born and bred in deepest Devonshire, where he grew up on a meaty diet of Hip Hop, Motorcross and Mick Jagger.
His DJ roots lie in Hip Hop, but have developed over the years into a much wider spectrum, cutting and pasting from all musical genres – but never letting the flow stop.

Growing up on the mean streets of Chard, the most southernly town in Somerset, Wayne Smith is not your average middle-class bachelor of arts. In fact he will be the first to correct you, that he’s actually upper-working-class and proud of his humble roots.
He learnt his skills on the decks on the local rave circuit – playing techno and drum n bass in underground clubs, barns and fields. Four years of bangin’ the bass left him partially deaf and tired of inflated egos, white labels and bootlegs. Gradually his vinyl collection grew and evolved revealing his more eclectic tastes.
“I could never be one of those people who dedicate their whole lives to one kind of music. The kind of people who just decide, yeh, Punk thats for me – then they get all the gear and live, breathe and sleep it everyday. It doesn’t make sense to me, there’s so much more out there. I wake up everyday and I’m in to something completely different – jack of all trades, master of none!”
Roots Romeo
The charity shop dwelling, bargain hunter, Joshua Roberts, is a mysterious hermit-like being. He hides away in the quaint Devon village of South Molten, compulsively adding to his gigantic collection of cardboard fruit boxes. Occasionally surfacing in London, you are likely to find him rooting through your skip or stalking joggers by the Thames.
His record collection measures an astonishing 2.7 miles, but cost a mere £9.43. He quite likes Elvis Presley.
